Rubrics In these photos, the students are using a new one-column rubric to evaluate each other's work. They did an awesome job giving meaningful feedback to each other. Students were then allowed to take that feedback to improve their work before turning it in to me for grading. | Script Writing It all began when we watched a YouTube video about the American Revolution by a company called 321FastDraw. After sending an email to the company about posting Part 2 to a video they posted, we were asked by the company to write the script for Part 2. We took on the challenge and 321FastDraw sent a designer to explain the process to the class. We loved getting to see the process of how a script becomes the awesome animation we saw. This was such a unique learning experience for the children. I heard several say that they would like to pursue animation as a career when they are older! |
| Students as Teachers Some of the students taught their peers how to log on and create a Symbaloo page for educational "apps". They also created a Blendspace to teach future students how to create their own. We will utilize this Blendspace in class during the 2015-16 school year. |
Additional Projects Here are a few of the other projects the students completed throughout the school year. Please read the caption on the photos to understand what each picture is showing. | |
